Here at Guitarworks I specialize in all types of repairs - acoustic, electric and bass guitars as well as other stringed instruments such as mandolins and banjos, etc. All repairs are done by me personally. Fretwork
Partial and full refrets on all fretted instruments in keeping with matching factory specs and style using the press/glue in method. I do not dremel fret slots and use the Teeter epoxy method unless refretting an instrument that was previously done in this manner. I specialize in fretwork on vintage instruments especially old Fender, Gibson, and Martin guitars.
Fret leveling and Crowning worn or pitted frets.
Neck Sets are performed on acoustic guitars when the guitar can no longer be adjusted for an acceptable playing action, and/or to bring the instrument into proper intonation. This is typical with many older Martins . Once the procedure is complete, your Martin will sound and play better than new! Many old Gibsons will benefit from this procedure as well. I also do neck sets on Guild and Taylor guitars.
